Novarad is the first PACS developer to provide integrated Radiation Dose Monitoring which runs on existing infrastructure and is modality vendor neutral.
NovaDose calculates a patient’s ionizing dose history and provides alerts based on a customer-defined dose threshold when a test is ordered. Upon integration with NovaPACS, NovaDose searches the existing PACS database and creates a dose profile for each patient. Cumulative alerts are triggered upon exam order and broadcast via email to RIS, HIS, etc.
Today’s dose monitoring is done manually by physicists, but not with NovaDose. Once installed, the DoseMonitor engine automates the data collection and evaluation to meet your mandatory reporting and regulatory requirements. DoseMonitor is ACR–DIR certified for data upload.
